Biographical Information[edit]
Jerry Hurley had only 33 games in the majors, but he did so on three different teams, in three different leagues, at three different positions, although he played mostly catcher.
Hurley was the first major leaguer out of Boston University, beating Mike Sullivan by several weeks.
Jerry, from Boston, MA, played much of his major and minor league career in the Northeast but also played several years for teams in California.
He is not to be confused with Jerry Hurley, a later player. Both were catchers.
