Biographical Information[edit]
A spare part with some solid St. Louis Cardinals squads, Jerry Buchek was a career 1.000 hitter in the World Series, singling against Jim Bouton of the New York Yankees in his lone at bat during the 1964 Fall Classic. He enjoyed one season as a semi-regular upon his exile to the New York Mets before 1967. Jerry slugged 14 home runs while hitting .236 in 124 games.
