Biographical Information[edit]
Jeremiah Knackstedt played college ball at Greenville College where he earned a bachelor's degree in physical education teaching and coaching in 2007.
Over the years Knackstedt held a variety of coaching jobs. Most of the time he provided private lessons/training while mixing in other types of coaching. In the former category, he founded Back-2-Back Baseball & Softball Training in late 2012 and ran that facility for five years. He also worked with 314 Training Academy the year after that. In the latter category, he coached short-term with a number of different teams. In 2007 Knackstedt played briefly with the independent league River City Rascals and also served as a coach. He returned to the Frontier League in 2014 as a coach with the Frontier Greys and in 2015 as a bench coach with the Gateway Grizzlies. After that, he managed three different summer collegiate baseball teams - the Norfolk Bluefish in 2017, the St. Louis Rebels in 2018, and the Springfield Sliders in 2019. He was scheduled to manage the Terre Haute Rex in 2020 until he accepted a job offer from the San Francisco Giants.
In 2020 Knackstedt was hired as the fundamentals coach for the AZL Giants Orange before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. He was the fundamentals coach for the ACL Giants Orange in 2021 and San Jose Giants in 2022. He became a manager with San Jose in 2023.
