Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Jeral Perez was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an international amateur free agent on January 15, 2022. He began his professional career that year with the DSL Dodgers Bautista, hitting .278 in 48 games. in 2023, he moved to the U.S., playing for the ACL Dodgers and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League. In 60 total games, his slash line was .255/.391/.485, with 11 homers and 43 RBIs. He played all three traditional infield positions - second base, third base and shortstop and was named an Arizona Complex League All-Star.

In 2024, he started the season at Rancho Cucamonga, hitting .264 in 75 games and being named to the National League squad at the 2024 Futures Game. On July 29th, he was one of three young players from the Dodgers to be traded to the Chicago White Sox in return for three veterans. Accompanying him were Miguel Vargas and Alexander Albertus, while the Dodgers received Ps Erick Fedde and Michael Kopech and OF Tommy Pham in return.
