Biographical Information[edit]
Jeong-soo Kim played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 3 years.
Kim played for South Korea in the 1982 Amateur World Series, when his country won their first world baseball title. The MBC Blue Dragons selected him in the first round of the 1983 KBO draft, and he hit .240/.317/.351 in his first season. Kim slumped to .172/.299/.264 in 1984, and he hit .220/.280/.330 in 32 games in 1985. He was turned into a pitcher in the middle of the 1985 season, and his ERA was 2.70 in 15 games. Kim passed away in a car accident in 1986.
Overall, Kim hit .223/.306/.330 with 102 hits and 7 homers in 3 seasons in the KBO.
