Biographical Information[edit]
Jeff Passan is baseball columnist with ESPN who is best known for discussing and announcing Major League Baseball updates and transactions. While attending Syracuse University, he got his start as a journalist by writing for The Daily Orange, but only began focusing on covering baseball in 2004 with The Kansas City Star. That year he became a member of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. then wrote for Yahoo! from 2006 to 2018. He joined ESPN in January of 2019.
He has also published a book called The Arm: Inside the Billion-Dollar Mystery of the Most Valuable Commodity in Sports in 2016 and was one of the co-authors of Death to the BCS: The Definitive Case Against the Bowl Championship Series in 2010.
Passan is Jewish.
