Biographical Information[edit]

Second baseman Jeff Natale hit .447 with 6 home runs and 50 RBIs as a senior at Trinity College and was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 32nd round of the 2005 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that year with the Greenville Bombers and then played with the Lowell Spinners before returning to the Bombers later in the season. In 59 games between the clubs, he hit .368 while striking out just 17 times. He began 2006 back with Greenville and hit .343 with 10 homers in 50 games there before being promoted to the Wilmington Blue Rocks in June. With Wilmington, he homered in his first at-bat and hit .278 with 7 home runs in 82 games there. He also led the Carolina League in postseason batting, hitting .538 in three games versus the Frederick Keys. With the Portland Sea Dogs in 2007, he hit .270 with 5 homes and 64 RBI in 119 games.
