Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Jeff Bigler played in the Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates systems from 1992 to 1996. He was an undrafted free agent.

He had 32 doubles for the Spartanburg Phillies his first year, but saw his numbers did with the same club in 1993. He had more walks than strikeouts for the Clearwater Phillies in 1993 (54 to 47). After beginning 1994 with a .091/.212/.114 slash line for the Reading Phillies, he was let go and signed with the independent Duluth-Superior Dukes. To wrap up his career, he played for the Augusta GreenJackets in the Pittsburgh Pirates system. He hit .264/.354/.371 with 11 home runs and 153 RBI in 348 games over five seasons.
