Biographical Information[edit]
Jeff Berblinger played in the 1993 College World Series for Kansas, attending simultaneously with Curt Schmidt. He saw one month of action in the bigs with the 1997 St. Louis Cardinals, spending eight seasons in the minors and two in independent ball. Teammate Mark McGwire was seven years older and his manager was Hall of Famer Tony LaRussa. Jeff played second base four times, was a pinch hitter twice and a pinch runner once.
