Biographical Information[edit]
Jean Weaver was a backup third basewoman and outfielder for the Fort Wayne Daisies in 1951 and 1952. She hit .247 as a rookie, then slipped to .225 the next year. In '53, she was converted to pitching and went 7-1 with a 2.64 ERA, allowing 60 hits in 92 innings, but walking 76; she also hit .313. Weaver is most noted for being a member of the top family in AAGPBL history; her sisters Betty Foss and Joanne Weaver won five batting titles and two Player of the Year awards between them.
