Jean Leclerc
Jean Leclerc worked as a replacement umpire for two National League games in Montréal, QC immediately after the settlement of the players strike in August of 1981. Because of chaos resulting from the air controllers' strike in the United States, only one umpire, Dave Pallone, who was already in town, managed to make it to Montreal for the two-game series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos. Three local amateur umpires were asked to fill in the other slots, including Leclerc.
He is listed simply as "LeClerc" on Retrosheet, but the article on the first of the two games published in La Presse contains his full name.
