Jean-Baptiste Couton had played for the Cougars de Montigny since 2000, before coming to the Rouen Huskies. He was also selected as a player for the Ile de France Junior team in 2002. He went 4 for 28 with 3 walks and 12 strikeouts as a backup left fielder for Rouen in the 2008 Division Elite. Couton returns to Montigny for 2009.
