Jay Eckhouse

Jay Eckhouse has been a college coach.

Eckhouse hit .386 as a first baseman at Illinois College in 1976. He also threw for 4,221 yards as the school's quarterback. He was head coach at Jacksonville High School in 2001, then returned to Illinois College as head coach. He improved the team from 7 wins to 10 to 16 to 21 in 2005. The school won 18 games in 2010. He has also been the school's assistant football coach. After 17 seasons Eckhouse retired in 2018 with a 260-297-1 record.
