Biographical Information

Jason Stein hit .378 in 1993 to lead his conference then batted .301 as a junior and was named to the all-tournament team of the 1993 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. As a senior, he batted .333 with just 5 strikeouts in 228 AB while moving to shortstop. He began his coaching career at Eastern Kentucky University, his alma mater, as an assistant from 1998-2000. From 2001-2007, he was assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Belmont University. In 2009, he became head coach at Eastern Kentucky University. He coached the Colonels for seven seasons, compiling a 178-201 record. He wasn't retained after the 2015 season.
