Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Jason Esposito was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the seventh round of the 2008 amateur draft but did not sign, opting to attend Vanderbilt University instead. He was then taken by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 2011 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Adrian Dorsey for a reported $600,000 and made his pro debut the following year with the Delmarva Shorebirds, hitting .209 with 5 home runs in 123 games. He began 2013 with the Frederick Keys.

Esposito became a hitting coach with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in 2018 and Lake County Captains in 2019. After the 2019 season he coached the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League. He was scheduled to coach Columbus Clippers hitters in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19, then did coach Columbus in 2021-2022. The Guardians promoted Esposito to the major league coaching staff in 2023 as their Run Production Coordinator, a role he repeated in 2024.
