Biographical Information

Jamie Walker has a son, James Leyland Walker, but James is not named after Jim Leyland. He is named after Jamie's father James and his wife's grandfather, Leyland Estes.

A workhorse reliever, Walker led the 2007 AL in pitching appearances. Showing that not all players make the huge bucks, Walker did not earn over $1 million in a season until 2006, his seventh major league season (he had pitched in at least 50 major league games in five of the previous seasons).
