James Williams was a college coach.

Williams was safety for his college football team that made it to the Peach Bowl. He was head football and basketball coach at Elizabeth City State College, athletic chairman at Bethune-Cookman College and head baseball coach (1968?-1976, 1980-1984) and athletic director at Delaware State College.
