Biographical Information[edit]

James Parr was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 4th round of the 2004 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Danny Bates and made his pro debut that summer.

In his major league debut for the Atlanta Braves on September 4, 2008, Parr faced another pitcher taking his first steps in the majors, Shairon Martis of the Washington Nationals. Parr won the duel with six scoreless innings, notching his first win in the process. It was the only win - and decision - of his major league career.
