Biographical Information[edit]

James Keenan was signed by the Washington Senators and appeared in 4 games for the New York-Penn League Geneva Senators in 1965 (1-1, 5.29). Keenan did not appear again until 1969, in the Florida Instructional League and Western Carolinas League for the Senators' affiliates. While with the Shelby Senators in 1969, Keenan threw a no-hitter against the Gastonia Pirates. It was an exception to an unexceptional season: 2-6, 3.74. Keenan was 6-6 with 3 saves and a 5.70 ERA for the 1970 Anderson Senators for his final professional season; no longer unhittable, he gave up 121 hits in 90 innings.
