Biographical Information

James (Jim) Fort pitched for Niagara University in 2010-2013 and graduated with a business degree. He continued at Niagara to earn a masters in Business Administration in 2014.

Since his playing career ended, Fort has remained active in baseball in various roles. While attending graduate school, Fort served as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2014 season. Fort opened his own baseball/softball training facility in the fall of 2016 which he named WNY Strike Zone. He remains the owner and operator of WNY Strike Zone as of 2020.

The Los Angeles Angels hired Fort as a 2020 pitching coach for the Orem Owlz before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
