Biographical Information[edit]
After starring in baseball, basketball, and soccer in high school, Jake Tarr attended Duke University, for whom he played in the 1953 College World Series. Following college, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He later played two seasons in the Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Athletics organizations. He hit .263 in 111 games.
After his baseball days, he was a longtime high school teacher and coach.
