Biographical Information[edit]
Jake Sanders was an outfielder in the dying days of the Negro Leagues. From 1956-1959, he played for the Detroit Stars and Kansas City Monarchs. He played for the East in the 1959 East-West Game. He was noted for his speed and defense. He later worked for Kelly Manufacturing for 20 years and owned and operated Jake's Lawn Care.
