Jacob Robert Sabol

Biographical Information[edit]

Jake Sabol was a minor league pitcher and is a college coach.

Sabol was a four-year letterwinner at Central Michigan and helped lead the Chippewas to two Mid-American Conference West Championships as well as a MAC Regular Season Championship in 2010.

He was drafted in the 36th round of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Detroit Tigers. He played two seasons in their system and then played one season for the 2013 Traverse City Beach Bums of the Frontier League.

After his pro career ended, he became an assistant coach at Northwood University for two seasons.

He was named head coach for Alma College for the 2016 season. He won 67 games in three years there then became head coach at Northwood. He was 140-90-1 in five seasons there then moved to his alma mater as head coach.
