Biographical Information[edit]

Jake Doyle has been a coach.

Doyle was All-State in baseball in high school twice and also played basketball. As a freshman at Yale, he hit .321/.343/.397 and played error-free ball in the outfield (64 PO, 2 A). In 2005, the sophomore produced at a .283/.325/.389 clip. His junior year, he batted .288/.348/.362 with a team-high 37 RBI in 45 games. He tied for 5th in the Ivy League in RBI. He missed 2007 due to a shoulder injury. As a redshirt senior, he batted .264/.317/.473 with 29 RBI in 40 games before injury ended his season; he had 68 chances without an error. Despite an incomplete season, he tied for 5th in the Ivy League with 7 home runs.

He became a coach for the MLB Urban Youth Academy in 2012. He was a coach for the Philippines national team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers.
