Biographical Information

Infielder Jake Bowen played for the Rockford Riverhawks of the independent Frontier League in 2006, hitting .200/.367/.237 with 38 hits, seven doubles, 14 RBI, 46 walks and 44 strikeouts in 74 games. He fielded .909 as their main third baseman, .942 in 25 games at shortstop and 1.000 in 7 games at second base.

He was killed in an automobile accident on April 12, 2008 at the age of 27.
