Biographical Information[edit]
Jair Bogaerts is the twin brother of Xander Bogaerts.
Like his brother, Jair signed with the Boston Red Sox and debuted as a pro with the 2010 DSL Red Sox. While his brother was the team's offensive star, Jair struggled at .170/.253/.242 with 53 strikeouts in 165 AB. He returned in 2011 and improved to .288/.387/.404 to lead the club in slugging one year after his twin. He fielded .993 at first base that year, up from .983 in 2010.
That was his last season in the minors. He played for the Hoofddorp Pioniers in 2021.
