Biographical Information[edit]

Jaime Córdova pitched for the Puerto Rican national team that won the 1951 Amateur World Series, Puerto Rico's lone title through 2019. In Puerto Rico's top amateur league, he won championships in 1951 with Humacao and 1952 with Juncos. In the '51 finals, he beat Coama twice in one day. He was 46-6 in his career, including minors.

After baseball, he worked in advertising and wrote books, including about baseball. In 1986, he was inducted in the Puerto Rican Amateur Hall of Fame.
