Biographical Information[edit]

Jacob Lookabaugh started 90 games for the San Jose Dukes in 1892, going 45-43 with 89 complete games, 272 walks, 208 strikeouts and a 1.70 ERA. In 803 innings, he allowed 828 hits and 511 runs, but only 152 were earned. He was one of two primary pitchers used by the Dukes that year, with George Harper (77 starts, 697 innings) handling nearly the rest of the load.

Lookabaugh played from 1888 to 1895, but his 1892 campaign was surely one of the most unique in professional baseball history.
