Biographical Information[edit]
Jack Sweeting caught for Eastern Air when they served as Team USA in the 1942 Amateur World Series. He turned pro in 1946, hitting .255/.322/.302 for the Miami Beach Flamingos, backing up Roger LaFrancois at catcher (fielding .930). In '47, he played for the Henderson Oilers (.276/?/.398 in 48 G) and Fort Lauderdale Braves (.241/?/.296 in 60 G). In 1948, he hit .220 and slugged .244 for the Helena Seaporters to end his career.
