Biographical Information[edit]
Jack Hubbard was a St. Louis Cardinals coach in 1993 and a member of the 1998 Toronto Blue Jays staff (first base coach). Unlike many major league coaches, Hubbard never played in the minors.
Hubbard was an All-American center fielder in junior college in the late 1960s. He began his Organized Baseball baseball career as the Milwaukee Brewers scouting supervisor for Florida in 1985. He later scouted for the Chicago White Sox and Major League Scouting Bureau. He was director of Player Development for the New York Yankees and also has worked for the Yanks as a special assignment scout, minor league roving outfield instructor and outfield, baserunning and bunting instructor during spring training. He was a first base, outfield and baserunning coach for the Dutch national team in the 2005 Baseball World Cup and 2006 World Baseball Classic and is a coach for the Netherlands again in the 2008 Olympics.
