Biographical Information[edit]
Jack Hardy, who was born and died in Cleveland, OH, made his major league debut with the Cleveland Naps in 1903. After spending 1904-1907 in the minors, he came up again with the Chicago Cubs for one game in 1907. He spent 1908 with the Nashville Volunteers and 1909 with the Mobile Sea Gulls, coming up for 10 games with the Washington Senators in 1909. He was back with the Senators in 1910, but also played for the Montreal Royals in 1910 and 1911.
His highest batting average in the minors during the period 1903-1911 was with Montreal in 1910 when he hit .330 in 31 games.
Hardy managed at Fort Wayne, IN of the Interstate Association in 1906.
He is not to be confused with a later Jack Hardy.
