Jack Haley

Pitcher Jack Haley began his pro career in 1934 and posted a 2.44 ERA that year with the Washington Generals to lead the Pennsylvania State Association. He reached the Newark Bears in 1938 and went 17-2 with a 3.47 ERA, leading the International League with an .895 winning percentage despite missing several weeks due to a bout of pleurisy. He remained in the minors through 1941. After serving in the military during World War II, he returned to Newark and went 1-1 with a 4.85 ERA in 13 appearances in 1946, his final professional season.
