Biographical Information[edit]
John "Jack" Devey led Britain's first professional baseball league in both batting average and wins. He would be voted into the British Baseball Hall of Fame in 2012. Away from baseball, he played for Britain's national soccer team in the 1890s. Three of his brothers also played baseball in 1890.
