Biographical Information[edit]
Jack Darragh has a lifetime .500 batting average in the majors, since he went 1-for-2. He made no errors in the field, making 8 put-outs at first base and getting one assist.
Darragh was at dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and played outfield on the varsity team there in 1890-91. He got his degree in 1891 and played his one game in the majors right around the same time, in May 1891.
In 1895 he managed the 'Twin-Cities' "Twins" franchise in the Eastern Inter-State League. In 1896 he managed part of the season for the Wheeling "Nailers" franchise in the Inter-State League.
He went on to become a druggist.
