Shortstop Jack Concannon was captain of the Holy Cross baseball team that won the 1952 College World Series. After college, he was signed by the Boston Braves and played three years in their organization. He ended his career playing for the Nuevo Laredo Tecolotes of the Mexican League in 1955.
After baseball, Concannon became a lawyer and later a judge.
