J. Wallace Page

A veteran of the Civil War, J. Wallace Page began the Page Woven Wire Fence Company of Adrian, MI. In 1894 he decided to sponsor a black baseball team to promote his product, creating the Page Fence Giants, a team that was a powerhouse for a few years before fading away.
