Biographical Information[edit]

J.R. Revere was a minor league outfielder for one year. His father John Revere was drafted but never played in the minors while brother Ben Revere made it to the majors.

J.R. also played quarterback at Georgia Southern. He was picked by the Colorado Rockies in the 49th round of the 2001 amateur draft, one selection after Phil Coke. Not signing, he wound up with the independent Chillicothe Paints in 2003. He hit .185/.305/.235 with 7 steals in 8 tries as the Paints' #4 outfielder.
