Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher J.R. Graham was a two-way player in college who didn't make his first start as a pitcher until 2011, the same year he was drafted in the 4th round by the Atlanta Braves. He was signed by scout Tom Davis and began his pro career that summer with the Danville Braves.
Graham's first major league decision was a loss for the Minnesota Twins against the New York Yankees on August 18, 2015. He came into the game in the bottom of the 7th with the Twins ahead, 4-1, but loaded the bases before allowing Alex Rodriguez his 25th career grand slam as the Yankees went to win, 8-4.
