Biographical Information[edit]
Itaru Ueshima was an infielder who represented Japan in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup, hitting .273/.320/.500 while handling six chances error-free at the hot corner. He was 1 for 2 in the title game, with a RBI triple off Omar Ajete of Cuba, before being replaced by Masafumi Nishi; Cuba would win in extra innings. He played for Nissan in the Industrial League.
