Biographical Information

Itaru Hashimoto was picked by the Yomiuri Giants in the fourth round in 2008 NPB draft. He hit .238 in ni-gun in 2009. He came up to the big club for two games in April 2010. He made his debut on April 27, as a defensive replacement for Alex Ramirez in left field. The next day, he struck out his lone trip to the plate after entering in center. He spent the rest of the season back in the minors. He made the Japanese national team roster for the 2010 Intercontinental Cup.
