Biographical Information[edit]

Irvin "Fuzzy" Hufft was a star in both the Southwestern League and the Pacific Coast League. In 1924 he lead the Southwestern League in both average and home runs while playing for the Arkansas City Osages. From there he moved on the PCL. Hufft would play 7 seasons in the league, with the Seattle Indians, Mission Reds and Oakland Oaks. Hufft would collect over 1,400 hits in the PCL with 166 homers and 902 RBI. He would hit for a .346 average over this time. In 2007 Hufft recieved the honor of being elected to the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame.

Off the field Hufft gained the respect of many fans and teammates as he served in the military in both World War I and World War II.
