Biographical Information[edit]
Irene Ruhnke played in the All American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1943 to 1947. Her best season was her first year, when she hit .253 with the Rockford Peaches. Playing the outfield, second base, and third base, she hit .196 with 2 home runs and 130 RBIs during her career.
After the 1946 season, she married, and after her baseball career, she worked in a Rockford factory for 27 years.
