Biographical Information

Irene Ives served as a chaperone or the Peoria Redwings of the AAGPBL in 1946. She was a registered nurse who graduated in 1932 from Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, IL and was of Methodist faith. She married her husband, Walter Young, on January 29, 1949 and passed away at age 52 in 1960 after what her obituary described as a "short illness."
