Industrial School for Boys (Eldora)
The Industrial School for Boys was established by an act of the Iowa Legislature in 1868. Originally located in Salem, IA, it was moved to Eldora, IA in 1872; while it is nowadays strictly a reform school, it used to take in some local students as well, including King Cole.
