Biographical Information[edit]
Hyun-bae In pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization for 5 years.
In played for the South Korean national team in the 1990 Baseball World Cup, allowing five runs (all earned) on five hits in just 1/3 of an inning. His 135.00 ERA was easily the event's highest; Maurizio De Sanctis was next at 108. The LG Twins selected him in the first round of the 1994 KBO draft, and he went 10-5 with a 4.19 ERA. In then missed the next two seasons due to military service, and he suffered from elbow injuries so he only pitched 5 games combined in 1997 and 1998. In had a 6.75 ERA in 11 games in 1999, then he announced his retirement in 2000 after having a 4.35 ERA in 6 games.
Overall, In was 10-6 with a 4.41 ERA, struck out 64 and pitched 157 innings in 5 seasons in the KBO, having gotten all his wins as a rookie.
