Biographical Information[edit]
Hyuk Yoon played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 4 years.
Yoon played for the South Korean national team in the 1988 Baseball World Cup and 1988 Olympics. In the 1988 Cup, he was 1 for 3, backing up Suk-jae Lee in left. He does not appear to have gotten into a game in the Olympics. The Ssangbangwool Raiders selected him in the special round of new team in the 1990 KBO draft, and he hit .279/.358/.358 with 21 doubles in his first season. He then slumped to .237/.311/.284 in 1992, and he missed most of his next two seasons due to back injury. The Raiders then traded him with Choi Han-lim to the Samsung Lions for Hyun-wook Kim and Myeong-sun Ryu, but he only played 5 games with the big club in 1995 then he retired. He later became a scout for the Doosan Bears.
Overall, Ko hit .262/.340/.329 with 136 hits in 4 seasons in the KBO.
