Huntsville Mountaineers
In 1912 the Huntsville Westerns of the Southeastern League were renamed the Huntsville Mountaineers. The club went 24-29 in the first half, finishing 5th of the 6 teams and one game ahead of last-place Bessemer. In the second half the team was replaced by the Talladega Highlanders and minor league baseball would not return to Huntsville, AL for another 18 years.
