Biographical Information[edit]
Hugo Walker played baseball in the Hoofdklasse and later was a sports commentator.
Walker was a first baseman for Ajax, VVGA and ABC, finishing his career in 1967. He played for the Dutch national team when they won the 1962 European Championship. He also played soccer, getting into one game for Ajax's soccer team in the Netherlands' Honor Division. From 1968-2000, he was a sportscaster for Sport in Beeld and NOS Studio Sport, covering both baseball and soccer. Walker worked the Baseball World Cup, European Championship, Haarlem Baseball Week and World Port Tournament in addition to both European and world championships in soccer.
