Biographical Information

Hub Hart played in seven games for the Toledo Mud Hens in 1911, filling in as catcher early in the season, according to Ralph Lin Weber in his compendium on Toledo baseball published in 1944. However, these games do not appear on Hart's record as the statistics of players with short stints with minor league clubs are often missing from the database.

In the majors, Hub played three seasons with the Chicago White Sox. He is shown in the database as coming to the White Sox for the first time in 1905 at age 27, without any minor league experience - and he is shown as having been in college from 1898-1905, through the year he broke in with the White Sox. He was a big football and baseball star at Georgetown University. He eventually became a dentist. [1]

He also played for the Logan Squares, a semi-pro team, as did quite a few other major leaguers. [2]
