Huang represented Taiwan in the 1990 World Youth Championship, 1992 Junior World Championship, 1994 Baseball World Cup, 1994 Asian Games, 1995 Universiade and 1998 Baseball World Cup.[1] The Uni-President Lions selected Huang in the first round of 2002 CPBL draft.[2] Although the amateur slugger made a wish of winning the CPBL Rookie of the Year before his rookie year, his performance was disappointed, only recorded a .184/.312/.262 batting line.[3] The batting average of Huang never reached .200 in his entire career, and the Lions released Huang on the end of 2004 season.[4] He then became a high school coach, who worked for many schools such as Taitung Physical Education High School‎, and coaches the Yuli High School now.[5]

Overall, Huang hit .183/.315/.261 with 33 hits in 3 seasons in the CPBL.
